A Quadruple Beading Ceremony

The Cornerstone District Camporee will be remembered for a long time for a lot of reasons: the Battle of Prairie Grove reenactment, the unusually warm weather and the huge gathering of many Scouts and Scouters from across the entire Council and even neighboring states.  Wood Badge folks will remember it for not just all of that but also for the beading of four individuals who had completed their tickets.  Susan Hennessee, Bill Hennessee, Malinda Pitts, and Tom Pitts were all honored at the closing campfire for their accomplishments.  Bill, who serves our country in the National Guard, received special permission to attend and drove all the way to the Camporee for this special recognition after which he returned to duty. That is the kind of dedication that Troop 1 has shown to Scouting!

Congratulations to these four leaders!....and that reminds me, how is YOUR ticket coming?  There are only five months left to complete it!!  If you need help please contact your ticket counselor.
