David Crowell of the Beaver Patrol was awarded his beads at Troop 2's Court of Honor Monday night. Assisted by David's son, Nicholas, Scoutmaster Spain presented all the regalia due to a Scouter who has completed his ticket.  David, who is the Scoutmaster of this fine troop celebrating their 90th anniversary, carries on the fine tradition of Wood Badge trained leaders who have been the leader of this troop. Congratulations Dave on a job well done. We look for more great things from you as well as Troop 2!

Brian Barker Beaded at Troop 36 Court of Honor

Brian Barker of the Beaver Patrol was awarded his beads, woggle and neckerchief at Bentonville's Troop 36 court of honor Monday night, June 3rd.  It was the second attempt to award the beads as the first scheduled award ceremony had to be cancelled due to the extreme weather.  This one went off without any delay.  Brian's wife and son assisted with the beading.  His parents were in attendance too making it a real family event....and speaking of FAMILY...You should know that Brian's wife delivered their next child the day after Wood Badge was over!!  ...AND...they very recently had another addition guaranteeing involvement in Scouting for years to come!!  Thanks for supporting Scouting Brian...and congratulations!!

Robert Sutton Awarded Beads at Outdoor Ceremony

On a beautiful Saturday night at Green Valley Bible Camp near Monte Ne, Robert Sutton of the Eagle Patrol conducted his final pack meeting for Pack 121 where he has been Cubmaster of a huge and active Pack.  Before that, however, he was recognized for completing his Wood Badge training and ticket and received his beads from the Scoutmaster assisted by Mark Puente.

It was a huge gathering of active boys, parents, grandparents, and Scout leaders who enjoyed a camp out and dinner cooked outside.  It was quite obvious to this course director that Pack 121 who recognized Robert for his service to the Pack will miss him but that they have benefited greatly from his commitment to Scouting and that he leaves the Pack in the hands of adults who will carry on the example.  How do I know that?...some have signed up for Wood Badge!!
