Robert Sutton Awarded Beads at Outdoor Ceremony

On a beautiful Saturday night at Green Valley Bible Camp near Monte Ne, Robert Sutton of the Eagle Patrol conducted his final pack meeting for Pack 121 where he has been Cubmaster of a huge and active Pack.  Before that, however, he was recognized for completing his Wood Badge training and ticket and received his beads from the Scoutmaster assisted by Mark Puente.

It was a huge gathering of active boys, parents, grandparents, and Scout leaders who enjoyed a camp out and dinner cooked outside.  It was quite obvious to this course director that Pack 121 who recognized Robert for his service to the Pack will miss him but that they have benefited greatly from his commitment to Scouting and that he leaves the Pack in the hands of adults who will carry on the example.  How do I know that?...some have signed up for Wood Badge!!

Woo Hoo for Talented Team Tyburski!!

At the Blue and Gold banquet for Pack 525 of Bentonville the family duo of Nick and Amanda Tyburski were both awarded their beads, neckerchief and woggle.  The room was packed with enthusiastic Cub Scouts, parents and many honored guests from S8-16-11-1 who attended to honor these two fine leaders for their accomplishment and to say thanks for their leadership of this Pack.  An appearance of Baden-Powell himself (looked a lot like Pettus Kincannon!) began the story of Scouting followed by the beading ceremony.  Scoutmaster of Troop 525, Dennis Lowe, assisted Wood Badge Scoutmaster Spain in the presentation of the recognition items.

You all will be glad to know that you can still say "42" and get the same response we heard at the course.  By the end of the night the whole audience would yell "42" and get the proper "Woo Hoo"!

42....WOO HOOOOOO!!!!

Dennis Lowe, Scoutmaster of Troop 525, assisted with the beading ceremony.
Dennis Lowe places the neckerchief on Nick.
Baden Powell made a special appearance and told his story.

 Congratulations to Nick and Amanda!!!
