It's Never Too Late!!

Just when you thought we were done awarding beads I had the pleasure of awarding them to Debbie and Cliff Ramey at the final luncheon of S8-16-17.  The Rameys finished their tickets within the 18 month time limit but these folks have been BUSY!!  In addition to taking their Troop to two national jamborees and two trips to Philmont they have continued their service to Scouting youth even though their own son is now 23 and well past Scouting age.  They are a true example of dedicated, unselfish leadership continuing to develop character in our youth.  Please join me in a long awaited CONGRATULATIONS to Debbie and Cliff!!!!

Kate Auld Receives Beads After Son's Eagle Ceremony (May 9, 2015)

Nathan Auld places the beads and woggle on his mother.

I am delighted to tell you that Kate Auld of the Antelope Patrol received her Wood Badge beads in a unique ceremony on Saturday evening.  It was unique because not only did Kate receive her beads that she worked so hard for but her son, Nathan, received his Eagle Scout badge in a ceremony just prior to hers.  It was such a fun evening at a beautiful park in Bentonville.  The ceremonies were followed by grilled hamburgers, fixin's and dessert.

Please join me in congratulating not only Kate but also her son for their high achievements in Scouting!

Tim Beasley Receives Beads!

In a ceremony at Pack 7's Blue and Gold banquet, Cubmaster Tim Beasley of the Beaver Patrol was awarded his beads.  Tim has been waiting and waiting for just the right moment and it finally came along at this special event. Assisting in the ceremony was his son, JT, and wife Stephanie.  It was a very special event for the boys as well as they were presented with many awards from their beloved Cubmaster.

There are several more Scouters from S8-16-11-1 who have not had their ceremony yet and as Tim has proven here, it is never too late.

Please join me in congratulating Tim for his achievement and thank him for his Scouting leadership on this special occasion!

Brian Barker Beaded at Troop 36 Court of Honor

Brian Barker of the Beaver Patrol was awarded his beads, woggle and neckerchief at Bentonville's Troop 36 court of honor Monday night, June 3rd.  It was the second attempt to award the beads as the first scheduled award ceremony had to be cancelled due to the extreme weather.  This one went off without any delay.  Brian's wife and son assisted with the beading.  His parents were in attendance too making it a real family event....and speaking of FAMILY...You should know that Brian's wife delivered their next child the day after Wood Badge was over!!  ...AND...they very recently had another addition guaranteeing involvement in Scouting for years to come!!  Thanks for supporting Scouting Brian...and congratulations!!
